Grand Chef Manipur is initiated by WAKHAL and BLOSSOMING KIDs in order to promote MANIPURI CUISINE across the GLOBE with the mission to search talents and prepare indigenous cuisine with proper cooking methods using right type of major and minor ingredients.
The event is first of its kind for promoting the indigenous Manipuri Food and also given an opportunity across the globe to participants . Bring up the Manipuri authentic food to global stage, from ingredients to preparation of cooking and to final serving and document it with pictures and videos.
The event will be conducted in 2 phases and flag off from 13th August onwards. 1st PHASE consists of initial audition round where all the participants have to sign up at WAKHAL to participate, must complete their social profile and upload their best dishes with DISH TITLE, Ingredients, preparation time, cooking time, level of skill required etc. of 15minutes length in Mp4 format along with write up about the dish preparation with in-details steps include the story behind the dish food served and its importance.
Review applications by each JUDGE individually. Each judge can nominate their favorite dishes and they decide the final review by comparing their nominated dishes. Final list will be prepared and will available on a page at WAKHAL website. Notification will be received through Email/ phone along with their respective url for promote. 2nd round could be done based on the performance of 1st round.
Public voting will be done all the finalists from the WAKHAL website. Voter sign up at WAKHAL and complete their social profile and vote for their favorite DISH. final result declared based on the voting received.
2nd PHASE of the competition will be conducted physically in HOTEL / RESORT and Grand finale could be NOV/DEC 2020 depends on present PANDEMIC situation.
Awards & prizes: Tour/Cash prizes, medals, sash for winners and consolation prizes for the finalist.
